its inception in 1989. Prior to coming to Sarasota as an attorney in 1987, Ms. Talbot worked in National Account Sales for Xerox Corporation in the Chicago area while attending law school in the evening program of DePaul University.

Jim Todora - Sarasota County Property Appraiser
Elected to his first term by Sarasota County voters to this constitutional office in 1996 and reelected in 2000. Jim considers his highest responsibility is to serve Sarasota County property owners with courtesy, professionalism, efficiency and fairness.
Prior to his election as Property Appraiser, Jim was Assistant Property Appraiser and chief operational officer for the Property Appraiser's Office. He has over 25 years in appraisal and assessment administration in Pennsylvania and Florida. His credentials include professional designations from the Appraisal Institute (MAI and SRA) and the International Association of Assessing Officers (CAE).

Gus Tyler - author, lecturer, activist and a renaissance man
When The New York Post editorially proposed Gus Tyler for New York Mayor , he was described as "a renaissance man." He is author of 13 books on subjects as diverse as organized crime, the economy, politics, labor, immigration, urban affairs. He has taught at more than a dozen colleges and universities. He is a radio commentator and columnist. He has earned two honorary Ph.D.s. He presently teaches a class in "The Lessons of History" at Pelican Cove University.
