  • Gulfcoast Wonder and Imagination Zone
    G.WIZ is a state-of-the-art science and technology center downtown on Sarasota’s beautiful bayfront. Not simply a museum! It offers an array of interactive, hands-on exhibits, as well as educational programs for the community.

  • Historic Spanish Point
    Take a tour to connect with over 5,000 years of regional history. See the unique archeological exhibition, "A Window to the Past" and houses of the early settlers. This beautiful 30-acre historic site tells a fascinating story!

  • John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art
    Experience the legacy of John Ringling bequeathed to the State of Florida.
    • The Art Museum, with 21 galleries, an internationally known collection, and a classical statue "Courtyard"
    • Ca d'Zan, the grand 30-room terra cotta Ringling winter mansion with stained glass, painted ceilings and marble terraces that's listed on the National Register of Historic Places
    • The 60-acre complex, which has maintained its status as Florida's foremost cultural attraction for half a century, also includes the Museum of the Circus, the original Asolo Theater, Museum Shops, and Banyan Café.

  • Myakka River State Park
    If you want to see alligators in nature - this is the place! One of Florida's oldest and largest state parks.

  • Marie Selby Botanical Gardens
    More than 20,000 tropical plants, including an outstanding collection of orchids and bromeliads. Awesome bamboo and banyon trees. We also loved poison dart frog display and rainforest center - fun!

  • Mote Marine Laboratory
    Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium offers a unique experience where you can learn about marine research and see marine life up close. Home of the nation's third Giant Squid Specimen Exhibit, and "Molly Mollusk." You will also see sharks, manatees, sea turtles, and much more! p>

  • Pelican Man's Bird Sanctuary
    Set on two waterfront acres, the Sanctuary cares for many different types of wildlife, and a permanent home is provided for the disabled who would not be able to survive in the wild. It is also a visual treat with shade trees and lush landscaping.

  • Ringling Museum of The Circus
    Because so many circus people live in the immediate area, the Ringling Museum's collection grew fast. It includes rare handbills and art prints, circus paper, business records, wardrobe, performing props.   • Sarasota Classic Car Museum
    The automobile exhibit has over 100 automobiles and spans nearly ten decades of automotive history beginning with the horseless carriage.

  • Sarasota Jungle Gardens
    The area's only ZOOlogical Gardens with over 75 species of animals, birds, reptiles and thousands of exotic and native plants. Zoological exhibits along winding jungle trails and five new, audience-interactive shows.
